Peri Peri  is a sauce that originated in Portugal and then went on a long trip to several parts of Africa where it also became incredibly popular. It’s based on the peri peri chili or African Bird’s Eye Chili where it gets it’s flavourful heat, adding several herbs,  spices plus plenty of lemony tanginess to balance the sauce.

Yesterday evening my husband wanted something hot & spicy and quick to eat… suddenly i recalled this recipe.. Peri Peri Paneer – 3Ps.

When I gave this Peri Peri Paneer to my husband as a snack, he just loved it, and first letter that comes from his mouth is AWSOME and based on his expressions I could not resist to share this recipe with you all. Well nothing feels better that a happy tummy and smile on your husband face…

Ingredients
  • 250 gm Cottage
  • 1 Boiled Potato
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 3-4 Dry Red Chilli As per taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Salad Leaves Handfull
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Grilling

  • 1 Tbsp Coriander leaves

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Vinegar

Instructions
  1. In a blender add dry red chilli, garlic cloves, roughly chopped bell pepper, olive oil, vinegar, salt, crushed black pepper and coriander leaves. Blend into a smooth paste and transfer into a bowl.
  2. Cut cottage cheese and potato into thick slices.
  3. Heat oil in a grilled pan.
  4. Dip cottage cheese slices in the sauce and place on the grill pan. Grill till evenly done from both sides and grill marks appear on them.
  5. Do same with the sliced boiled potato
  6. Now take hand full of salad leaves in a bowl and add 1 tsp of peri peri sauce . Mix well
  7. Place salad leaves on serving plate . Now put grilled cottage cheeses and grilled potato slices on the top.
  8. Serve Immediately.
