
Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of chicken. In India, this may include a variety of dry chicken preparations.
Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken Small Pieces – 250 gm
Oil for Frying
For 1st Marination
Cold Water – 1/2 cup
White Vinegar – 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
For 2nd Marination
All Purpose Flour – 1/2 cup
Corn Starch – 1/4 cup
Baking Powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil -1 Tsp
For Gravy
Soya Sauce – 3-4 tsp
Chilli Garlic Sauce – 2-3 tsp (As per your taste)
Corn Starch -1 Tsp
Sliced Onion -1 medium size
Capsicum Sliced – 1 medium size
Spring Onion Chopped – 3-4
Green Chillies – 3-4
Chopped Garlic – 1Tsp
Chopped Ginger – 1 Tsp
Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1/2 cup (As per your thickness of Sauce)
Salt to taste
Preparation Method:
- Take a bowl , put chicken pieces in a bowl add Cold water, salt, sugar, vinegar and ginger garlic paste.
- Mix well and keep it in refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Marinate Chicken with flour, Corn starch, Backing Powder and oil.
- Keep this to marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
- Heat Oil in pan. Fry the chicken and let it rest for 15 minutes. Fry again for Crunchy flavour.
- Heat oil in a Pan.
- Add Ginger, Garlic, Sliced Onions, Capsicum, Sliced Green Chillies.
- Saute for few minutes till slightly tender.
- Add water mix with Cornstarch.
- Then add Soya sauce, Chilli Garlic Sauce, Black Pepper, Salt to taste and cook for some time; wait till sauce gets thicken.
- Now add fry Chicken and turn off the flame.
- Garnish with Spring Onion and Serve Hot.
Note: If you like Chilli Chicken with some gravy than added more water.
